Trust Street

Once a thriving community of 20 single-family homes, Trust Street is now home to deteriorated, substandard dwellings and a very active, open-air drug market.

A new block club, led by Habitat homeowners (there are six on this street) is working to improve life on the street, where more than 80 children live. We've made a commitment to convert the many doubles into singles to reduce density and bring in homeowners committed to the neighborhood. We are converting one house per year by acquiring property from the city through foreclosure.
