Fourth Annual Business of Building Luncheon

Each year we wrap up our Leaders Build program with a celebratory luncheon we call The Business of Building. Beyond a simple celebration, the luncheon puts an exclamation point on our work of fostering economic and community development by engaging the business community in our mission. Our guests include company presidents, CEOs and managers, past participants of Leaders Build, media friends, Habitat homeowners and others who take an interest in our work to eliminate poverty and substandard housing in Rochester.

When: Wednesday, October 29, 2008
12 Noon
Where: Hyatt Regency Hotel
125 Main Street East
Rochester, NY 14604
Ticket Cost: $50 per person
Corporate tables @ $500

Everyone is welcome!

Gather your business associates, colleagues, friends and anyone interested in our mission:  building decent affordable homes to improve lives and neighborhoods in the City of Rochester.

Keynote Speaker

Richard Deitz

Richard Deitz, a noted economic analyst, is our keynote speaker for the Business of Building, 2008.

This year's keynote speaker will be Richard Deitz, Officer and Senior Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Buffalo Branch. Mr. Deitz provides economic analysis of upstate New York for the Federal Reserve System and consults with state and local governments on regional economic issues. He will discuss our aging population and its implications on affordable and accessible housing and related services.

Larry Glazer

Golden Hammer Award

We also use the occasion to present awards to businesses and business leaders who have lent outstanding support to Habitat's home-building efforts. Our 2008 Golden Hammer Award will be presented to Larry Glazer of Buckingham Properties, LLC.

Questions?

If you'd like help with tickets or you'd like to sponsor a Habitat event such as The Business Building, please contact Teresa Bianchi, FCHH Development Manager at 546-1470, x305 or via tbianchi@rohesterhabitat.org.

Habitat neither solicits nor accepts government funding, so the support of the business community is critical to our ability to build homes and reinvigorate inner city neighborhoods plagued by hopelessness, poverty and crime.
