Volunteer ...Around the Country or Around the World!

Volunteering for Habitat can combine travel, adventure, and service. There are as many paths as there are volunteers.

RV Care-A-Vanners

Larry and Dot

The Habitat for Humanity International RV Care-A-Vanners program combines the adventure of traveling the country with the joy of participating in a sustained Habitat program. Typically a group of 10 to 12 RV owners camp together near a scheduled Habitat building site and work together for two weeks on a single project.

Jimmy Carter Work Project

President Carter, construction volunteer

As president of the United States, Jimmy Carter was deeply committed to social justice and basic human rights. Today, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter give a week of their time each year-- along with their construction skills -- to build homes and raise awareness of the critical need for affordable housing. The Jimmy Carter Work Project is held at a different location each year, and attracts thousands of volunteers from around the world.

Global Village Trips

Brooke Lerner makes a new friend

Habitat for Humanity International's Global Village trips give participants a unique opportunity to become active partners with people of another culture. Team members work alongside members of the host community, raising awareness of the burden of poverty housing and building decent, affordable housing worldwide. As partners, team members help build a true "global village" of love, homes, communities and hope!
