Habitat clubs and chapters
Across the country, high school and college students partner with Habitat for Humanity by forming campus clubs and chapters that advocate, fundraise, and volunteer with local Habitat for Humanity affiliates. Clubs and chapters plug into Habitat run activities as well as their own activities such as awareness activities on campus.
Here in Monroe County, we have seven active clubs and chapters:

- Clubs and chapters are very similar, but there are a few differences. We'll discuss which makes the most sense for your group.
- Both are generally student run, with adult support from teachers, parents, and other community leaders.
- In addition to high schools and colleges, we are also looking to partner with community, neighborhood, faith, and other youth groups.

Age restrictions
Flower City Habitat does not have age restriction or permission form requirements for students to participate in a club or chapter. However, there are age restrictions and permission forms required before a student can volunteer on our construction or ReStore sites.
Youth Construction: 16-17 year-old volunteers can build with us only after submitting a parental permission form. No one under the age of 16 is allowed on our construction sites.
Youth ReStore: 14-17 year-old volunteers can work at Habitat ReStore only after submitting a parental permission form.

Student Build 2017-2018
Having a stable home allows children the opportunity to become strong students, involved community members, and caring friends and family members.
Kids raised in a Habitat home graduate at a rate over twice that of kids in the same school district and we want to offer that opportunity to as many families as possible.
If you have a club, team, or group of friends that wants to make a difference in the Rochester community, we invite you to join the 2017-2018 Student Build campaign.
