Sponsorships

Every partner supports our mission.

Every donation large or small helps to build more homes right here in our community. As a sponsor you are making a significant impact in the lives of local families.

Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity builds mutually beneficial relationships with local businesses to create a community where everyone has a decent place to live.

Corporate sponsors receive social, organizational, marketing and fiscal benefits while helping local families build and buy their own homes.

Team Build Days

Volunteering together to help build the home of a hardworking Habitat family is a uniquely rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Our team-building program helps lift our community by directly building affordable housing; and your organization benefits from an increased sense of camaraderie, greater connection to our community, and seeing a tangible, permanent impact from your day of volunteering.

In addition to the positive impact for our community and for each volunteer, Habitat team-building days also provide the opportunity for your organization to publicly demonstrate its commitment to a community where we all have a decent place to live.

To schedule your team-building day, please review the following options:

Sponsored Team-Building Day (group reservation for 10-20 volunteers):

  • $1,000 donation reserves your team-building day for 10-15 participants.
  • $2,000 donation reserves your team-building day for 16-20 participants.
  • Prompt social media cross-promotion to combined reach of over 12,000 followers on Facebook, Instagram.
  • Habitat branded fundraising software to help reach fundraising goals (peer-to-peer fundraising is optional, organization may choose to cover full donation amount)
  • To reserve a day, please review our construction FAQs, then email us for current availability.

Larger Groups of 20 or more can be arranged by contacting Laurie Streber at lstreber@GRHabitat.org

Framing Frenzy

A "Framing Frenzy" is one of Habitat's biggest volunteer events, allowing large numbers to engage in a meaningful day of construction volunteering with a tangible and visual impact.

Through effective planning and material preparation, these projects also help us build more quickly, which is one way that we are working to build more Habitat homes in the Monroe, Wayne and Ontario Counties. Habitat programs follow our model of "a hand-up, not a hand-out". Each homebuyer or homeowner partners with Habitat based on income, need, and willingness to help.

Once qualified, an affordable loan is made and payments return to GRHFH, allowing us to reuse the funds and continue to serve more homeowners as we build homes, community, and hope.

Specifics:

GRHFH can accommodate up to 150-200 volunteers for a safe, engaging, and impactful day.

GRHFH will provide ways for you to stay engaged as the house(s) proceed, including opportunities for additional volunteer days and invites to events and ceremonies.

GRHFH will coordinate all construction materials, tools, permits, insurance, and supervision.

Home Sponsorship

Sponsoring a Habitat for Humanity home is an opportunity to change the life of a local family. You will experience first-hand the transformational power of safe, decent, affordable housing in a family’s life. More than that, your partnership will help build a community where everyone has a decent place to live.

Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity will partner with you every step of the way to ensure your experience is fun, safe, meaningful, and successful. A full house sponsorship covers the “sticks and bricks” cost of building the home. Volunteer labor, donated materials and Habitat funding covers the remaining costs.

With your sponsorship you receive:

  • Name/logo on build site signage
  • Participation in either Golden Shovel/Ground Breaking, Wall Raising or a Wall Signing Ceremony at sponsor’s convenience.
  • Opportunity to meet Habitat partner family.
  • Opportunities for sponsor employees/family/friends to volunteer with hands-on work on all phases of building on designated days (normally Wednesday – Saturday). Volunteers on the live construction site must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Participation in home dedication and featured in-home dedication program.
  • Promotion on Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity’s website and social media.
  • Provide financial management for the project.
