Legacy Builders Society

Benefits for helping others.

As part of our Legacy Builders Society, the planned gift that you designate in your will or trust can ensure families have the security of owning a home for generations to come. Our Legacy Society members are long-term supporters and volunteers who have come forward to let us know they have included us in their estate plans and are choosing to leave a family legacy gift.

A common misconception is that planned giving is only for the wealthy. The truth is, people just like you can make a big difference. A planned gift is typically made from assets in your estate rather than disposable income, and comes to fruition after your lifetime. It can be simple and low-cost to you right now. The most common way to leave a planned gift is in your will. Today estate planning offers many options and is easier than you think. As you reflect on the legacy you will leave behind, consider the many ways you can preserve your estate for your family and continue building strong, thriving neighborhoods here in Greater Rochester for decades to come.

Our Legacy Builders Society – a circle of friends that have made an enduring gift to Habitat through a bequest or trust – helps us plan for a stronger future and celebrates donors who extend their community impact beyond their lifetimes.

Legacy Builders Society members enjoy the following benefits:

  • Being a part of a legacy program that will allow you to extend your support and continue to help provide decent and affordable homes.
  • Recognition as a Legacy Builders Society Member All founding members will be recognized as Founding Members.
  • Invitation to and recognition at an annual Legacy Builders Society event.
  • Invitations to workshops and seminars related to affordable housing and philanthropy
  • Invitations to home buyer dedications

Please let us know if you have included GRHFH in your estate planning. We will be honored to welcome you as a member of the Legacy Builders Society. Please know that your bequest is revocable and is in no way binding, and can be changed if your financial situation or personal circumstances change.

If you have any questions, or need assistance with this important personal decision, please contact us and schedule a private meeting. We will be happy to assist you in complete confidence.
